this old goat is grown tired... and would rather stay home,
rather graze among sheep again... mostly alone,
tired from making insufferable cheese all the time
tired... relinquishing ground to the wolf and the swine.
the new goat might afford an old, reckless abandoned,
superlative, tethered, centrifugal tandem;
but decidedly, outwardly inward umbilical
does as worse, as the life of this part is ephemeral.
the ‘present projective’ seems hardly a tense
to be rehashing out with old, goat cheese recompense.
old and new, all the same, reinforce by some measure
why the barnyard must redefine business and pleasure.
